About us
The Kiryat Bialik Conservatory was founded in 1970 by Mr. David Molner, who directed it until his retirement in 1994. In the same year, Ms. Anna Assaf was appointed as director.
The Conservatory took over the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 1975. In 1974, the old building of the Conservatory was built, and in 1986, the new building of the Conservatory was built. These two buildings were built thanks to the contributions of the late Dr. Walter Schwartz and the late Hadassah Schwartz.
Structure of the Conservatory Association:
The Kiryat Bialik Conservatory Association is a public association that was registered as an association in 1982. The association is supported by the Ministry of Education and the Kiryat Bialik Municipality.
The association is managed by a public board consisting of a chairwoman - Ms. Sharon Lahav, a municipality representative, and parent representatives who work voluntarily.

Conservatory lessons
The Kiryat Bialik Conservatory is attended by students of all ages and a variety of musical instruments. The teachers who teach at the Conservatory are academic teachers.
The conservatory offers individual and group study. In addition to music lessons, students also learn additional theoretical lessons, practical lessons, and musical games for preschoolers.

Chamber Orchestra
The Conservatory has a chamber orchestra made up of students from the Conservatory. The orchestra participates in national conferences on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Culture, in public concerts and performances for the Kiryat Bialik community. Alongside the chamber orchestra, there is a representative violinist team that performs with great success in Kiryat Bialik and beyond. In addition, the Conservatory has a young violinist team that serves as a reserve for the adult orchestra. The Conservatory has adopted students from the Arab sector who participate together with the Conservatory students in the chamber orchestra.
In 2011, the Kiryat Bialik Conservatory joined a community project and teaches wind and string instruments to students in grades 2-6. School and wind orchestras were established, as well as a municipal youth wind orchestra, and a marching band was established.
In 2011, the Conservatory's wind instrument department was renewed, and a wind instrument orchestra was established.
Choirs
The Conservatory has three choirs: a youth choir, a transitional choir, and a representative choir, "Villnella." The "Villnella" choir appears at many important events in Israel and abroad. In 2007, the women's choir joined the choirs.
The Villanelle Choir is an organization that aims to nurture the new generation of singers. The choir's activities promote the development of artistic singing, as well as the musical development of all its singers.
Participation in the choir provides musical knowledge and skills (such as solfege, intonation, vocal technique, and more) while exposing you to a variety of musical styles, languages, and cultures. In addition to musical specialization, the choir promotes values of listening, cooperation, perseverance, and patience, and encourages creativity and enjoyment of musical performance.

Exams and graduations
The Conservatory holds exams in two terms: winter and summer. The exams are designed to test
The level of students' achievements, their development and progress.
Conservatory graduates who wish to take the music matriculation exam receive preparation and guidance in writing.
The final project and playing the instrument being studied.
The Conservatory will continue to cultivate and maintain the professional level of its students and enrich the life of the Kiryat Bialik community and the surrounding area by providing concerts and performances by the Conservatory's students and teachers.
Volunteer management team

Shuri Zeisler
Secretary
As the conservatory's secretary, I often meet with students and their parents. As I get to know them, I have learned to be patient and willing to listen and help.
Today, after many years, I know exactly which student studies with which teacher and which instrument he plays.
As part of my activities in the association, I work hard to promote the place and its development.
Before every concert, there are many preparations and I contribute greatly to everyone involved.
I have a good relationship with the employees at the organization, meeting all of their needs.

Anna Assaf
Manager
Since 1975 she has been working as a piano teacher at the Kiryat Bialik Conservatory.
In 1994, I was elected to manage the conservatory.
During my years as a principal, I emphasized the professional aspect and the warm and friendly atmosphere for the teaching staff and students.
As well as the students' progress and their exposure to a wide variety of subjects in the field of music.
My greatest ambition is that as many talented students studying at our institution as possible will continue to choose their future in the musical field and represent us with honor.

Born in Russia, graduate of Moscow University.
I worked in education and am currently a psychologist.
I have three children and three grandchildren.
As a child, I studied at a conservatory in Russia and I wanted my daughter to play, too. When they approached me as part of the community project and told me I was a good fit, I was very happy and signed up for the project that takes place at the school, from where I continued on to the conservatory. Today, I play in the conservatory's representative orchestra and saxophone team. I traveled with the orchestra to represent our city and the State of Israel abroad.
I voluntarily joined the association's management because I know that I can help the association move forward and more children will be able to learn and develop.

Volunteer on behalf of the parents
As a child, I studied at the Kiryat Bialik Conservatory. My daughter graduated in piano and passed her matriculation exams in music. Today, my son studies at the Kiryat Bialik Conservatory and continues the tradition.
Graduated from the University of Haifa and currently works in education and teaching.
I started volunteering in the management of the Conservatory Association in 2016 because musical education is very important to me. I see how much musical education has added to our lives, both for myself and for my children.
Music has significant roles, far beyond the emotional and artistic experience. Through music practice and study, children learn to deal with different situations in life in a more informed and correct way, they are less emotional and more focused.
